Down on the Farm: Where Does Milk Come From?

Learn about the daily rhythms of life on a dairy farm in this session built around the author’s book, It’s Milking Time. Designed to enhance a unit on farming or food, the workshop uses creative resources and classroom activities to focus on the process of getting milk from cow to table.

Creating your own “Thanksgiving in the Woods”

Using the story of Thanksgiving in the Woods as a guide and examples from families that celebrate Thanksgiving in the outdoors, this workshop will help students develop ideas of their own for getting to the true heart of Thanksgiving. Includes crafts and activities that can help bring the outdoors in!
